Are the Details in the Fabric?

So, I'm feeling super manic today.

******

Yesterday, I saw a commercial for Disneyland, which piqued my "I Need to Get Out of This Town!" blood vessels. So, I'm stomping around now, trying to think of ways to outsmart The Man and blow this popsicle stand.

What if we went to a Coldstone in Park City instead of the one down the street? What if I convinced Caleb that Vegas is nice this time of year? What if I convinced Kellie to fake a cold, so Caleb and I would have to rush to Redlands to save her?

And then I ponder on ways to get my mom to take me on a girls' day to Disneyland while I'm down in Redlands for the wedding.

You know, Mom was pretty excited when her picture was in Paper Trends in my mini album. And that picture was taken at Disneyland. So, if I can convince her that another thing like that will happen if we go to Disneyland, then it'll be a cinch.

I'm concocting all of these hare-brained schemes and I've convinced myself that they'll all work wonders, when Caleb says: "Even if you went to Disneyland, you couldn't ride most of the rides, thanks to the baby." Gah for logic. Gah for antsy-ness. But, mostly gah for the outside world being so dang tantalizing. Disneyland is still possible though - it always is.

Lately, I'm addicted to three things: water, soft serve ice cream, and photography blogs. These two that I've linked are to super talented photographers; the first is Whitney Hardie (she's my friend! I know her!) and the second is Johnathan Canlas (who Whitney's interning for). I really recommend going to both if you're having a blah day, since their creativity will inspire you!

As for the other two things, they'll help you out if you're feeling thirsty and hot. Which, you know, is totally possible.

Yesterday, I went on a totally fun adventure to take my friends Kileen and Gerald Smith to an interview for being on-site managers at an apartment complex. I just loved that they asked me on an adventure! After their interview, we all loaded up the car (including their baby Aurora!) and set off to Sonic, where I tried my first real juice slush. Hello! It was awesome. I just like to go off and do things I don't normally do, even if it's just a quick trip for an interview that I didn't even partake in. I hope Caleb and I get to hang out with them before they leave WHEN they get this awesome job. See? Positive thinking.

I'm illegal.

A couple of weeks ago, I was laying on my couch in the morning, just pondering what is going on in my life right now.

Well, school's out. Work's going well. It's getting hotter outside, which makes it hotter inside. The baby's keeping it real, but the heartburn isn't.... Wait, what about Helen Grace chocolate peanut butter bears?

So, I google, find it on Amazon, order two boxes and charge that business.

The story, if it matters, is that Daddy used to sell Helen Grace candy for his school's choirs and bands; he would buy these chocolate peanut butter bears, which still strike memories in the hearts of Chatfield girls. And I bought some, on a whim, from the internet. I'm not a whim girl with my purchases, so after I did it, I kind of regretted it.

And then, today, the UPS man came while I was still in my jammies. He gave me this HUGE box, I signed and then he jingled down the stairs (dude had santa claus keys). I tear open the box, only to uncover quintuple layers of pastel-rainbow wrapping paper. And, there were the little boxes of bears. I've only eaten a few, so far, because I want to share. So, here's the call, I suppose. Come. And. Get.

An Account of All of the Exciting Adventures I've Been Having in California While Not Being Around Anyone From Utah

While I've been gone, Caleb redecorated our living room. He's so great about thinking about me and how I would like things to look. Now it actually is inviting and homey! Yay Caleb.

***************

There have been plenty of adventures. And plenty of excitement.

But both of those great things will translate only if you have ever been with the Chatfields as a clan before. All of the hilarity and the crazy fun has been around the dinner table, in the car, doing mundane things that typically wouldn't invite the words "loud" and "awesome" to describe them.

So, pretty much, they'll be better to talk about in person. Or, when I'm feeling more prolific.

Tryin' So Hard

I had wanted to write on this blog every day, but since I've been in California, I've been too busy partying to actually do it. Man, now that I'm home, I'm going to try super hard. SUPER hard.

My New Year's resolution is to save up money for the Prince concert that I'm going to with Megan later this year. It's expensive and I am going to save up my loose change!

On the travel up to Utah, we got caught in a blizzard 90 miles south of Provo. It was dark and we could not see in front of us at all, so Caleb pulled off the highway and we checked into a hotel in Scipio. We got one of the last three rooms (with a king size bed!) and had a hard night's sleep. The Warrior also didn't sleep well and he was grumpy on the hour long drive up this morning; he might have also been grumpy because he had to travel in a box to and from California when he could have stayed home. Anyway, we are now home safely, but with another adventure under our belts!

Yarrrrris

Right now, if Caleb and I were in Utah, we would be getting ready to go to Priesthood/Relief Society. But we're not! We're in California, in the warm weather, in the 11:30 church time, in our jammies, in an awesome party environment. I've had such a good time while I've been here - and we haven't even gone to The Price is Right or Disneyland yet!

Carlie got a new game for Christmas called the Game of Life: Pirates of the Carribean edition; it is such a fun game and I want to play it all the time. Mom and Dad and Caleb and I went to the Redlands temple to do a session; it's so beautiful and we had such a great experience! We've eaten some really great food and had some yummy treats. And we've gotten to sleep in every day! Good times.

And all of this has been made so much better because it's been with Caleb!

His Name's Bob

This is Bob. He is welcoming you to the Price is Right, thanking you for joining him. And that we will be, January third. Wearing some swank shirts, if they ever get made. After some great New year's partying, if the party ever gets planned. Working 24 hours in three days really hinders the getting ready plans for this girl. I hate having to cram everything into my life and still pretend that I'm on vacation. Meh, it's this way for everyone.

Christmas was great; Caleb made me a scrapbook of our first week of dating. I cried, but only at the hand written note at the end! Also, I received some great DVDs, shoes, makeup and other assorted goodies. I am really happy that my first married Christmas was such a success and that Caleb also felt that it was a great Christmas. I hope Bob Barker also had a great Christmas.

We also got a digital camera from the Flanagans, making our lives a lot easier (as well as Shyla's; now we won't have to borrow hers all the time anymore!). I'm going to try to take as many pictures as I can of our adventures. To help me with that, I made a flickr account. This will hopefully push me into taking some great pictures and actually uploading them onto the computer.

I cannot wait to be out of the state, out of the snow, wrapped up in Bob's welcoming arms. And Caleb's. :-)
